Re-played it, wow the game over screen... Really feeling a bit dark, creepy and insignificance. Also, I wonder what happens to the chill mode, The game just starts for several seconds and then it counted as lost the game?
EDIT: And there are trees all over the map being added, nice.
Truly a work of art, although the win/lose state difference is unclear (had my seagull grown too big for the ecosystem or had it smashed its face against the ground?) and I was not been able to perform any CANNIBALISM no matter what
Great little game! My only critique is to maybe not use Ctrl and Shift in a web game. At some point I must've activated some browser shortcut because the tab got bookmarked and closed! Other than that I really enjoyed hunting for apples ^_^

The fate of insignificance of the seagull... Thanks for the game you developed.
Thanks for playing! We just did a small update, if you would like to try again.

Thank you, I feel comforted by knowing that seagulls feel the dread of insignificance as well.
The end screen is bugged btw, wouldn't let me back to the menu for more than 1 frame.
Thannks for the comment and trying it out. The bug is fixed and we added some Quality of life stuff.

no matter whatThanks for playing! There is now an indicator when CANNIBALISM is possible (the gulls you can eat will pulse with the color of blood).
truly an unparalleled achievement in the field of GULL SIMULATION

That's a great point... Keyboard controls were kind of added as an afterthought since we focussed on using a controller. I'll update the keymapping!
It's been updated! Thanks for the feedback
